One of my favorite things about Tokyo is that no matter the time of day or amount of time you have, there is ALWAYS something to do. I take advantage of this fact almost every night. On Friday night, after our epic meal at Jiro's, Ted, Vishaal, and I decided to take a walk around the older part of Tokyo-Asakusa. We went to Senso-ji, Tokyo's oldest and most significant temple. It was lovely. We were basically the only people on the entire temple grounds. It was raining and it was a Friday night. This was an amazing time to go because the temple was all lit up and because there was rain on the ground we could its reflection. This area is normally packed with tourists. I was amazed as to how new Senso-ji looked. It is quite remarkable that the Japanese make it such a priority to preserve their history.
