Comedy in Tokyo

On Friday afternoon I realized I didn't have concrete plans for Friday night, so I decided to do my first meet up.  Meet ups are basically random groups of people with shared interests who meet at a venue of their interest.  So I found the 'spontaneous group' on meet ups website and that night they were going to an improv comedy show in English in Tokyo.  I ended up going, which was a really interesting experience.  I knew no one in the group, but there were a lot of other people in the same position.  It was a lot of fun to meet tons of new people-international and Japanese.  Going to a comedy show is also something I would never normally do on my own, so it was nice to have such a random experience.  I will definitely be going to more meet ups in the future!
