Azabu-Juban Summer Festival

In the summer Japan is full of street festivals.  It is really quite an experience to go to them because not only do you get amazing, cheap food, but you also get to see hoards of Japanese people dressed to impress.  I love how many modern Japanese city dwellers wear traditional Yukatas (summer Kimonos) over the weekend especially to these festivals.  Vishaal and I decided to stay put in Tokyo on his last day here.  We went to the Azabu-juban summer festival.  Azabu is literally right behind my apartment and the street where all my favorite Tokyo restaurants are.  Normally is is quiet and trendy, but this weekend there were literally tens of thousands of people swarming the streets.  Going to these festivals are great because one can really see the part of town showing off their best parts!

My favorite pizza in Tokyo at Savoy.  They only have 2 types of pizza on the menu and they make it extremely well!

BBQ rice on a stick.  Amazing stuff.

Vishaal saw some fresh grilled Japanese beef and had to have it. Also delicious.

Just some baby octopus on sticks. casual.
