Hanaki

Hanaki is pretty much the equivalent of TGIF.  Every Friday when our director has deemed it time for us to finish work he struts over to our desks and says "hanaki."  Today when hanaki was announced we made our way to the Apple beer bash.  This was like no other beer bash I had been to before in Cupertino. Here in Tokyo our beer bashes are held in different locations.  Todays was in the Kirin beer garden.  Their trademark beer was a light beer with frozen foam on top.  Honestly it was quite delicious.  The food at the event was also to die for.  In general, the beef in Tokyo has been nothing but amazing and we got to sample some more of it tonight!

This was just the beginning of our Friday night.  The finance team in the Japan office are such a cool, fun, young, smart group of people and they are all really good friends too.  Get everyone drinking together and it ends up being a really good time.  We ended up going to two more bars after the beer bash and called it quits around two in the morning.  I had such a blast going out with the team.  Great first Friday night in Tokyo!
