Finally in Tokyo!

Konnichiwa from Tokyo!

For those of you that don't already know, I am going to be living and working in Tokyo through the end of November.  I could not be more excited to start this new adventure!  It has been a really busy first few days packing, flying, unpacking, exploring and starting work.  I've had a seamless transition and I have my Dad (who was here for a business trip) and Teddy (a friend from work) to thank for that!  Below are some of the highlights from the last few days:

My Dad and I started off our half day together in Tokyo with Brunch at an adorable restaurant, Lauderdale, right by my apartment. I have since been back with Teddy:

My Dad had to rush back to the US so then I spent the rest of the weekend with Teddy! Teddy has been in Tokyo for the last 2 1/2 months so he has the place scoped out. He was kind enough to show me around, teach me how to use the subway, and most importantly provide excellent company!

Learned something new at dinner: men get glass noodles while women get a salad.

After a jam packed weekend of traveling to and exploring Tokyo, I actually had to move into my apartment and start work.  My apartment is tiny but it's in a seriously amazing location.  I have gotten used to it though and it doesn't feel small anymore.  For those of you who are coming to visit, don't worry, the bed is huge and I will be sure to buy an air mattress!

I work in Mori towers which is one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo and therefore has amazing views.

So there you have it, a little glimpse into my new adventure in Japan! Email me if you have any recommendations and better yet let me know if you are in Japan! I will try and update frequently so stay tuned!
